| One of my favourite areas of Taipei
was Bitan, which sits at the southern edge of the city. Only minutes
away from the 'real' city, Bitan escapes most of the big city feel
of Taipei, and feels much more like a small town. Ordinary people
live there and do ordinary things. For this photo essay, I have
selected a number of photos from one small part of Bitan, the short
stretch of road that is the day, afternoon and night market, as
well as photos from a few neighbouring areas. Click on the image
