Chiang Kai Shek (CKS) Memorial Hall, Taipei |
|
I've been impressed with the CKS Memorial
Hall area since my first visit, only days after my arrival in Taiwan.
Large buildings and an even larger open space in the midst of one
of the densest cities in the world? In addition to the beautiful
buildings (National Theater, National Concert Hall and the Memorial
itself), the walls, gates, pathways, ponds and trees all add to
the unique beauty of the place. This being Taiwan, no open space
could possibly exist without people ... and lots of them. Any time
of day, any day of the year, CKS is always buzzing with activity. |
