Fête Nationale du Québec

Canadians outside of Quebec sometimes get a little nervous when June 24 rolls around. The 24th of June, known as Saint Jean Baptiste Day is much of Canada is known as Fête Nationale du Québec, or roughly translated (by me) as the Quebec Nationalist Day. It's a day for Quebecers of all colours to celebrate what it is to be Québécois. The parade in Montreal was short but crowded and quite noisy. There were several thousand blue and white flags being waved along with singing and chanting. Regardless of whether or not Quebec separates from the rest of Canada one day, they'll surely be celebrating their day with pride.
