Montreal on Foot

Montreal is a tremendous city. In September 2003, I set out to walk as much of the city as possible over the span of a week. These photos provide a sampling of some of what I saw; racial, political and linguistic diversity ... architecture of all kinds ... history ... profound wealth, penny pinchers and penny collectors ... The city has shrugged off the years of negativity that followed the 76 Olympics, and is continuing to move forward as Canada's leader of style, culture and diversity. By the way, a multi-day metro pass nicely compliments the walk.
