Po-An (Bo An) Temple in Taipei, Taiwan

Along with XingTian Temple and LungShan Temple, Po-An Temple is among the most visited temples in Taipei. To me, the appearance was a little more stately than most of the other temples that I've visited in Taiwan. This shouldn't be too surprising, considering that a lengthy restoration project was finished just days before my visit. I found the temple to be quiet large and surprisingly empty ... the usual noisy crowds and toxic incense were nowhere to be seen. The relative calm made my presence even more conspicuous than usual, making it difficult to shoot. The temple is a little out of the way, and is directly under the flight path for planes landing at SungShan Airport.
