I've had the good fortune of visiting a few quiet,
out of the way, virtually uninhabited places, and I've liked almost
all of them. Far from civilization, these places force
you to focus on the sights and sounds and smells of nature rather
than telephones, televisions or telemarketers. One such locale (with
an unusual name) is Sausage Lake in Northern Ontario, Canada. This
place doesn't show up on many maps, and it probably never will.
Regardless, it offers fresh air, opportunities to experience the
wild and enjoy the sound of your own thoughts. |
