Taipei Nights - Various Shades of Darkness and
Light from Taiwan's Capital |

> Taiwan > Taipei Nights |
| In Taipei, the
city comes to life at night. Rather than marking the end of the
day like it does in many centres, dusk in Taipei represents the
start of a new day. Taipei is open for business twenty four hours
a day. You can always find something to do, eat or buy in the
nighttime. That said, a nocturnal photographer has no shortage
of subjects to focus in on. In this gallery, I've tried to stick
to some of the more traditional night scenes in Taipei, incorporating
some famous events and venues, as well as some lesser known areas
of the city. Worth noting are the the Lantern Festival from the
Golden Dragon Year (2000), the Taiwan National Theatre, the Mitsukoshi
Tower (now the second tallest building in Taipei), and the Grand
Hotel.
