Coastal Scenery from Taiwan

The diverse island of Taiwan exhibits beauty in a number of forms. One of the most stunning, yet readily available, is coastal scenery. Taiwan's northern and eastern coastlines are particularly rugged and beautiful, with jagged rocks bursting out of the sea floor providing numerous views of cliffs and steep mountains at the edge of the sea. The east coast of Taiwan runs for hundreds of kilometres of practically uninterrupted beauty interspersed with a few calm spots for beach goers. Fishing is an important industry and popular pastime along the coast, though powerful typhoons (the Pacific's hurricanes) pose a very real danger throughout the summer and autumn months.
