Sports fill a strange role in Taiwan; though not an important part of regular life for most people, some take their sports very seriously. Many westerners and Japanese that come to Taiwan take advantage of some excellent surf locales off of Taiwan's rugged east coast. In northeastern Taiwan, three places regularly bring in surfable waves and surfers; FuLong, DaHsi (DaXi) and TouCheng. The following photos were taken at DaHsi and TouCheng.
