Latest AdditionsSand, Sand and More SandI recently had a great chance to have a guided tour of Oman was all the tempation I needed, so off I went. Here are some photos from the Wahiba Sands, an incredible desert in the interior of the country. There was a FortNext up is a series of photos from Oman features a beautifully restored fort in a place called Nakhl (Nakhal). Check out this beautiful Omani fortress. Beautiful SceneryI've seen a lot of scenery in a lot of different places, but I've never seen anything like what I saw in Northern Oman. Extremely rugged mountains, beautiful fine grained sand, clear water, lush green date palm plantations ... it had it all. MuscatNo trip to Oman would be complete without a stop in Muscat, the capital city. Sultan Qaboos Grand MosqueI spent part of my final day in Oman visiting the Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque, the third largest mosque in the world, and one of the few (if not only) mosques in Oman that allows non-Muslim visitors inside the mosque itself. Photos of the Week ProjectFrom December 2003 until December 2006, I contributed to a part of this site known as 'Photos of the Week'. Though no longer updated, the section is full of interesting photos that offer a glimpse into the life of a traveling photographer. I've added three random photos below - click the 'refresh' button to see another three.
