Featured Photograph: State Capitol Reflections (Enlarge) |
Clever city planning by the forefathers
of Madison, Wisconsin placed their State Capitol in a prime position.
The Capitol can be seen from virtually anywhere in the city, and
dominates the low skyline in the downtown and UW Campus area.
My eye and camera lens are continually drawn to the Capitol, both
day and night. While driving into the city on East Washington Avenue,
you can't help but be drawn straight towards it. On the final block
of the approach, the glassed walls of the US Bank Building throw
governmental reflections about. I couldn't help but stop and capture
the image shown here on the right.
Madison is a beautiful city in any season and well worth a visit
if you're in the American Midwest.
